Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Snoozy mobile application and related services (the “Service”) provided by Ascent Labs (“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who Can Use Snoozy

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Snoozy is designed for parents, guardians, and adult caregivers to create bedtime stories for children in their care. The Service is not intended for direct use by children.

You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account, including stories created on behalf of a child.

2. Your Account

To use Snoozy, you create an account with a valid email address. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may delete your account at any time from within the App.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Snoozy may offer subscription plans purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. By subscribing:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple per their policies

Pricing and available plans are shown in the App and may change with notice.

4. AI-Generated Content

Snoozy uses third-party artificial intelligence services to generate story text and voice audio based on the prompts you provide.

You acknowledge that:

• Generated content is produced by AI and may occasionally contain errors, unexpected output, or content inconsistent with your prompt
• You should review generated content before sharing it with a child
• We do not guarantee that any specific story or output will be produced
• AI output is not a substitute for human creative judgment

We work to filter inappropriate output, but you remain responsible for reviewing what you share with children.

5. Your Content

The story prompts you enter and the generated stories saved to your library belong to you. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely to operate the Service (for example, to send your prompt to an AI provider and return the story to you).

You agree not to use the Service to generate content that is:

• Illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
• Sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for a bedtime context
• Designed to harass, defame, or impersonate any person
• Infringing on intellectual property rights

We may suspend accounts that misuse the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Snoozy App, branding, and underlying technology are owned by Ascent Labs and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or proprietary technology beyond using the App as intended.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We are not liable for outages caused by third-party services (such as AI providers) we depend on.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascent Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Mumbai, India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
